Family

Brian and I have been together on the journey of marriage for over thirty years. Our goals in life remain to prioritize FAITH, FAMILY, FULL-Time Job endeavors and then everything else. We are quick to remember at times “IMPORTANT MATTERS” must be factored in and attended to as life happens.


My dear Mr. Bauer is a therapist serving a local company in the area of mental health and manages a private counseling practice as well. We have one grown son, David. It was an eventful journey to raise him and experience a diverse array of his friends being in our home throughout the years.


Firmly believing all people need to be known, valued, and loved is one of our priorities. We desire to express and share in the lives of others as given the occasion to do so. Additionally, any person in our home becomes “family” for the time being with the goal of nourishing their mind, heart, body, and spirit! Preparing and sharing meals with others offers the opportunity to build relationships and this is a primary way we seek to stay connected with people.


Any spare time is spent as active as possible whether this means yard work, small home improvement activities, brainstorming the next BLOG, or a favorite activity we call “FRESH AIR THERAPY” which entails walking or biking outdoors, along with bird watching!

Putting Students First

Kathleen has worked with learners of all ages for greater than three decades. She has earned and applied her lifetime Master’s in classroom teaching within the early childhood and elementary environments, as well as, at the university level. Kathleen completed her dissertation study with a focus on empowering pre-service teachers to meet the social emotional needs of learners when they enter the field.


With a passion for life-long learning and leading students of all ages to find successful moments along the way, she enjoys connecting with a variety of people, embracing the moment with each individual. Kathleen’s dream remains to see the world positively impacted through leading others on the path to discover a continuum of growth, offering greater opportunities for each individual to share her passion, a passion to see the world become a better place, one learner at a time.

Data & Research

As an evolving process for years, Kathleen has found so much joy interacting within the process of learning, and has fallen hopelessly in love with how minds of all kinds learn, grow, and develop. Throughout her educational journey and learning alongside so many diverse students, she has enjoyed experiencing what she terms layers of learning. Various experiences, wiring, birth order, emotional intelligence, organization, and the way one views the world and assimilates for a learner, offers insight into the journey. Layering in love, connection, and follow through matters. When these components are present, learners are safe, settled, structured, and essentially free to learn!


Priorly for her Master’s Thesis, Kathleen conducted a qualitative study on the application of teaching reading and was a recipient of the Outstanding Student of Achievement Award. Kathleen’s dissertation research was conducted highlighting the essentialness of social emotional preparedness in pre-service teachers as they enter the field to work with learners. Realizing, embracing and understanding perspectives in leadership matters, and students are the priority. For more information on her published dissertation, see below.

My Philosophy Of Education Statement

When educating students, regardless of age or stage, my desire is to equip, empower, enhance, and encourage through excellent instruction and modeling. To equip students for assimilating knowledge gained through the curriculum is a priority. I aspire students to be empowered to reach current goals by follow through and perseverance. Enhancing their learning experience is a focus with ongoing practice that facilitates strength in retention of knowledge gained. Encouraging each diverse individual by recognizing and celebrating their strengths, although realizing vulnerabilities while seeking to build further confidence through research and enlightenment. Learning reaches far beyond the lesson or chapter at hand. I desire to promote a growth mindset and support ongoing cycles of learning with every student.

I am a situational leader. My ambition is to navigate well through a variety of circumstances aware of complexities and vulnerabilities that may be present.


I am a servant leader. My purpose is to motivate and approach each individual under my care finding their good while offering opportunities for learning and growth.
